I think we were about 13-14 at the time... Jamie & me were on the same mobile network, and as part of some promotion, for 3 months we'd receive 3000 free texts a month to people on our own network. To start with it was handy, being able to chat endlessly whatever time of day, until Jamie decided we should hold a competition to see, texting only each other, who could get through their messages first. So for around 3 months, solidly we harassed each other with useless text after useless text, sometimes receiving 'WAKE UP' 'WAKE UP' 'WAKE UP' at stupid hours of the morning, thanks Jamie. We had a good laugh with it, ringing each other to compare figures at the end of the week, which was of course much more important than our pending coursework for school. Jamie eventually won, which I didn't hear the end of for probably another 3 months. I miss those old times, when life was as simple as 'who can use up this free stuff the quickest?! :D' it just sums up who you are as a person.
